Network with and hear from a panel of diverse founders and leaders within Digital Health!
About this Event
The Cedars-Sinai Accelerator is excited to host this event focused on diversity within Digital Health and Health Tech!
Research proves that diversity is a powerful competitive advantage for business. Despite the evidence, we are far from achieving gender and racial equity in practice. Together with Radical Health, Queerly Health, and Mt. Sinai's Diversity Innovation Hub, the Cedars-Sinai Accelerator will host a panel discussion and networking reception focused on female, minority, and non-binary startup founders and leaders of healthcare startups.
Join us for an engaging evening as our panelists discuss how their experience has shaped them, their roles as founders and leaders of companies, and the role that diversity plays in leading a healthcare startup.
Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with the panelists after the main panel for any extra questions or thoughts they would like to individually share.

Ivelyse Andino (Radical Health)
Ivelyse Andino is an Afro-Latina health equity innovator born and raised in The Bronx. She is the founder and CEO of Radical Health and a Commissioner on the New York City Commission on Gender Equity. Ivelyse enjoyed a fledgling career in health tech, pioneering some of its first digital health solutions, including bringing the first mobile app prescribing platform to market and working with global clients such as National Health Service (NHS London) and Kaiser Permanente. While she routinely trained oncologists on new drugs, she found herself unprepared when her mother was diagnosed with cancer. This forced her to directly and intimately confront the systemic healthcare disparities she knew that existed. In founding Radical Health — the first Latina-owned and operated Benefit Corp in NYC — she has sought to combine her expertise in healthcare and her passion as a community organizer.
Derrick Reyes (Queerly Health)
Derrick Reyes is the Co-Founder and CEO of Queerly Health, an online marketplace of LGBTQ-friendly health and wellness providers, telehealth capabilities, and concierge health services. With a background in LGBTQ health, education, and social services, and a member of the LGBTQ community themself, Derrick knows firsthand how difficult it is for LGBTQ people to access anything related to healthcare. Derrick also understands digital health’s potential to create some much needed change.

Dr. Butts is currently Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer for the Mount Sinai Health System and Senior Associate Dean for Diversity Programs, Policy and Community Affairs for the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. In these roles, Dr. Butts is responsible for oversight, management and integration of all aspects of diversity programs and policies for the Mount Sinai Health System to ensure diversity and inclusion as an integral core institutional value and resource across the health system, including the medical and graduate schools, graduate medical education and the Mount Sinai Hospitals Group.
