This year's startup companies are creating high-tech solutions to a wide variety of healthcare challenges. Chosen from hundreds of startups, these ten teams and their innovative products represent the best and brightest from our global community of health innovators.

Hera Biotech offers the world’s first non-surgical test for endometriosis, the number one cause of female infertility. Hera's test, MetriDx™, provides definitive diagnosis and staging of endometriosis through micro-fluidic analysis of single cells. 

MetriDx™ measures the expression patterns of an endometriosis-specific gene panel. Hera’s Biotech's patent-protected panel is heavily based on the expression profiles of a gene set, implicated in a number of other invasive processes. Hera Biotech primarily serves the OB/GYN and fertility solutions markets with its innovative diagnostic tool.

iCardio.ai develops artificial intelligence (AI)-based software to analyze ultrasound imaging and produce cardiology reports. Currently focused on echocardiograms, iCardio.ai recognizes multiple pathologies and identifies at-risk patients, increases visibility into abnormalities, and increases the accuracy of a diagnosis. iCardio.ai's models are based on segmentation, classification, regression analysis, and artificial intelligence for the interpretation of ultrasound imaging. 

iCardio.ai enables ultrasound software and hardware companies in the research and development of AI algorithms and provides a custom application for the interpretation of ultrasound imaging.

Kinexcs develops AI-driven digital health platforms and wearables to enable and empower people with musculoskeletal conditions. Kinexcs' device, KIMIA Recover, is a post-surgical monitoring product that allows remote monitoring of joint conditions and provides live feedback to patients on a regular basis. KIMIA Recover has obtained FDA Approval, CE marking, and HSA approval.

Additionally, Kinexcs provides an AI-based digital therapist offering at-home exercises and image analysis algorithms for the detection of wound infection, excessive discharge, or bleeding during the post-surgical recovery period.

Momentum Health is a digital health platform leveraging 3D imaging and artificial intelligence to screen for scoliosis and monitor progression remotely. Its mobile application, Momentum Spine, uses a 30-second video taken on any smartphone to reconstruct a model of the torso to quantify asymmetries and predict curve progression. 

Already obtaining FDA 501K clearance, Momentum Spine can be used by clinicians and care teams to remotely monitor scoliosis patients with less radiation exposure and more continuous follow-up, as well as the general population who would like to monitor their spine health.
